Doing What Matters in Times of Stress is a guide by the World Health Organisation for managing stress in times of difficulty.
The guide provides – based on available scientific evidence – practical information and tools to help people cope with stressful situations. Stress can have many different causes: difficulties at a personal level (family conflicts, financial difficulties, loneliness) or at work (conflicts with colleagues, insecure or demanding jobs, insecurity), or major threats at a social level (violence, illness, poverty).
The guide is addressed to everyone is experiencing a particular moment of stress, is available in several languages and is divided into five sections, each containing an idea and a technique that can be used in daily life. These are simple techniques that can be used for just a few minutes a day to reduce stress levels.
