16 hours of theory and practice with experts from the world of new paradigms for health humanities
The aim of the summer camp is to provide to health care professions engaged in Humanities of health and narrative medicine updated and innovative tools, from pragmatic linguistic approach, to philosophy of scientific research, to narrative medicine, emotion science, to telemedicine and digital science.
The bringing together of the disciplines is the starting point to empower the mind-set of health care professionals, particularly burdened by this COVID-19 experience.

To whom the Summer Camp is addressed
The summer camp is aimed at healthcare professionals and people engaged in humanities for health coming from all over the world: doctors, nurses, other healthcare professionals, Public Relations Office managers, training office managers, healthcare management, academic and scholars in humanities for health and narrative medicine, representatives of patient associations, volunteers, helping professionals, teachers, journalists, artists, and collaborators of corporate organisation.
The summer camp is organized during the afternoon so that all Europe, Middle East and the America can follow with comfort the live lessons. Lessons will be recorded so that it can be seen also in other countries (Far East and Australia), but more generally seen by everybody at a convenient time.
Main endpoint of this summer camp
Acquire knowledge and skills on:
- Moving from current philosophy is in science research and medical practice toward new paradigms of thinking for better and more informed medical research and practice.
- Moving from current “rough and useless language and beliefs” to new paradigms for more effective cognitive process and healing lexicon.
- Moving from the poisoning emotions, through their acknowledgment, to embrace healthier life styles: creating intimacy, which is at great danger of perish in COVID-19 time, and considering the balance between the self and the others.
- Moving from an old cold telemedicine approach to a new warm digital empathy with children, parents and fragile patients.
- Moving from Narrative medicine before COVID-19 to a narrative medicine with updated tools more tailored for citizens’ patients’ and health care professionals experience.
- Moving from a passive attitude to manage inequalities to an active role, for creating a functioning network.
